While the international degrowth movements has many overlapping goals, the historical background and experiences with different political systems shape local strategies and discourses about how to degrow the economy. In this article, the Degrowth Poland group introduces the Degrowth movement in Central and Eastern Europe, specific challenges and strategies in this region and the journey to the first regional degrowth conference in Poland in June 2026.
