Infinite growth on a finite planet? –The ecological boundaries of the planet

07.02.2020 12:00 - 10.02.2020 17:00 | Trebnitz

During our German-Polish methodological training for multipliers, we’ll focus on three core questions: How is the planet doing, what has led to its current state, and what can we do about it?

Together we will explore various methods and models from the field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), transformative learning and degrowth education – e.g. the concept of ecological boundaries by Johan Rockström et al., the interconnectednes of ecological systems, resource (over)use and questions related to growth.
Besides learning new methods and reflecting upon them, participants will have plenty of opportunities for exchange between colleagues from Germany and Poland.
The training is designed for teachers working in general or professional education and (future) multipliers in non-formal education (e.g. environmental activists, educators for climate protection or ESD) from Germany and Poland.
Trainers are Jakub Rok (Trainerkollektiv Lepiej, Warsaw) and Elisabeth Kremer (Kreisau-Initiative e.V., Berlin)

The seminar is part of the modular training cycle “Courage to Change, Courage to Act”.
